Typo Keyboard for iPad Air and iPad Air 2 price drops $40, now $149

Typo KeyboardI touched on it briefly in the current Mobile Tech Manor column but it’s worth breaking it out in detail. The Typo Keyboard for the iPad Air and iPad Air 2 has gotten rave reviews but consistent complaints about the $189 price.

The Typo is the keyboard from Ryan Seacrest that created a buzz at the CES in January. The iPad model followed the aborted iPhone version that BlackBerry successfully took to court and killed.

Checking on the Typo and Apple web sites shows the price has dropped to $149 ($149.95 from Apple). This looks to be the best keyboard for the iPad Air and iPad Air 2 so this may be enough to justify buying one. I know I intend to get one.

One thing the Type Cover keyboard of my Surface 3 has me pondering is whether a keyboard can be too thin. I wonder if you will find this to be the case.

I find that if you put the Type Cover at the angle so it is lifted of the table/desk there is a bit of a trampoline affect that can be annoying.
