Samsung has responded to the hoopla about its S-Pen design. As covered earlier, Galaxy Note 5 owners are reporting that if you insert the pen the wrong way into the silo on the phone it can permanently damage it.
The company’s response to what is being called “pengate” is to tell owners to read the manual. To be fair, apparently the manual does clearly show the proper way to insert the pen.
Previous Galaxy Note models had specially shaped pens to make it impossible to insert backwards, so it seems the firm was thinking about this in the past. This safeguard was not employed on the Note 5, and thus the problem.
